What it costs, etc-
I've talked to dan at pumptoys about the new system. The dial in the pic was calibrated just for the pic. The pump will pull 16" plus, but they hadn't determined where to cap the pressure yet. Price- about $400 for the pump alone, about $500 for the complete package for full automation. The pumper sets three steps, being what pressure to start at, how long to stay there, and how long to ramp or transition to the next pressure setting. you stack these sets of instructions in any variety you want. it can be just one, or 20. then you tell it to run- once, or for a time like 30 minutes, or continuously till you tell it to stop. so you could say 3", hold for one second, ramp time 1 second. next you would say 6". hold for one second, ramp time 1 second. then- run continuos or whatever. result is pulse from 3 to 6 and back every four seconds. the pressure and times are set by the pumper, so anything would be possible. could set it to run level at 6" for 15 minutes, take a circulation break at 2" for 5 minutes and back to 6. it would all be automated and run all night if you want. I have GOT to have one!!!

jeez that is a steep price but eh it does sound very advanced compared to the vacutech or the ctc models.but if i had to choose a electric that was cheap id go with vacutech.otherwise if quality is more what i want and need id buy this one of course.ill have to think over this one before i consider it.but i do need a new pump and id rather this kind over a manual anyday.

What's it worth
While I like cheap, I like good a lot more. I have a vacutech, and it's ok for level pumping, but you have to put the damn thing in the garage with a long hose if you want any peace and quiet. Dan says noise of the electronic pump will be over 90% less than the vacutech at full speed. but speed is infinite because of computer controlling electronically as needed. since it shuts off when pressure is reached, it wouldn't run at all much of the time. tweaks to maintain a pressure are just whispers. I wish it was cheaper of course but I paid $329 for the vacutech. everything I have bought from pumptoys has been high quality and very well designed so I expect this will be to. 399 is a bargain by comparison to the vacutech and that allows me to upgrade by adding the software when I can spring for the other hundred or so.

yeah i dont have the luxury of going to the garage to pump as i live with people so how would i explain the loud pump noise in my room eh.the price is steep but i like the money down they offer so i will buy one since its only 200-250 then not until its ready to ship they charge the other half.so it dont take such a large chunk of your money.just need to get paid some more and think ill get me one.the wait is a little long but it seems worth it to me.

New PumpToys Pump
I've finally figured out how to program my own Run Profiles into this thing and get them to play. While there are still some hurdles for PumpToys to overcome, this pump is a true gem. The feeling of this pump fluttering the vacuum, as you have designed? Unreal.

QS-7... Absolutely the best way to pump!
I've been running the QS-7 programmable pump from pumptoys for three weeks now. NOTHING compares- it's awesome. Pumps larger, faster, with LESS irritation, I can use higher pressures pulsing too. Not to mention- incredible feelings, and downright fun. And... noise level compared to the vacutech is super low. Truly a technical toy of the first class.
Tiger dave has just posted an in-depth review of the QS7 on his website. If you want the detail scoop, look at it here-

thats great it works just like its suppose to and being almost silent is better aint it.so you would say it was worth 500 bucks then?what was the shipping on it anyways?whats nice about this pump its hard to tell what it is from looking at it.even then most people dont know what a vacuum pump is really for do they!
