This is super fascinating to me. I've always wanted to explore putting saline and/or dex into the areas I've done w/ N2O. How much did you infuse? Where did you have the needle? Did it clear up quickly enough to not be an issue?
I put the needle in the back of my hand. The insertion hurt quite a bit, which is why I aborted my first attempt. I tried again on a different occasion and it stopped hurting and was fine after the needle was in. I used a 1L bag of dex, which is why the swelling started spreading up my arm. I didn't get through the whole bag as I I stopped after my palm started changing colors. Must've been under quite a bit of osmotic pressure. I'd say the use of my left hand was impaired for 24 hours.Next time I will probably just do normal saline.

I've also gotten the same effect by wearing rubber bands on my wrist overnight, but that hurts a decent amount at the point of constriction and would disrupt my sleep.
