uh oh ... blood blister on shaft
So I started pumping again recently after at least a year off and i went up to some fairly high pressure, maybe around 10 hg. I got a blood blister on my head, had those before, and shut down the pump session when that happened. However afterwards i also noticed a dark blood spot on the shaft. I took about 2 weeks off since then and the blister on the shaft had mostly gone away so I decided to try again today. Also went up to 10 hg (maybe too high ...) and this time the blood blister on the shaft came back and shot out some blood. Again stopped the session, and no bleeding after initial amount in the tube. This is somewhat concerning though and based on the location I can't tell if the blood vessel running near it is damaged or what. Never had a shaft blood blister before so I come to you all seeking guidance. Quite frustrating since I felt like resuming pumping was helping to make some gains or at least restore my EQ. But avoiding further injury obviously highest priority at the moment ....

Blood blisters generally take longer to heal than a traditional blister does. I've had them on my shaft a couple times, but most of the time it's on the head when I have got them. Best thing is to restrain from pumping until it heals completely. I don't drain them. I wait for them to go down on their own and just put daily antibiotic ointment on it and just wait it out. Once the spot is completely gone. I give it another 3 days on top of it, to make sure it's good. But I also start back up with a lot lower pressure too and don't go as long. It's about all you can do is wait it out to make sure you don't overdo it. Which, unfortunately, is likely what led to it. I personally wouldn't be going must past 5 HG after a blister incident for a good bit. I personally don't get up past 5 myself in general, but I know some prefer higher pressures.

That is not a blood blister. That is most likely a small ingrown hair and when you pumped it filled with blood cause the skin was irritated to begin with. At 10 hg I’ve never got a blood blister like that just a small water blister on the head if I went too long. I try not to pump when I have one as they need to heal first.
