Possibly injury

Post by Girthhunter3 »

Hey guys , after 4 years I picked up the Bathmate again, last time I stopped using it was for the same reason as this time around, my issue is the skin on my shaft has lost a lot of sensitivity, mainly on the top side but it can vary, the last time I pumped was 8 days ago I gave a slight tug to the Bathmate to get it to suction again and when I came out I had that dreaded feeling again. I probably released the air a bit fast too. I know if I leave it alone it should come back , but that also makes me ask myself, is it always like that and I’m just focusing more on it now that I’ve started pumping and the initial loss of sensation that lasts a couple of hours after coming out the Bathmate has just drawn my focus to it more so. I did have spongy weaker erections last week but not sure if that was just penis fatigue from the pumping session basically at the moment when I’m holding my flaccid dick it feels like I’m holding someone else’s , I have had sex twice and also masturbated and everything is working fine. It’s just the sense thing that’s throwing me off, could it be nerve related, pelvic floor I just dunno

There's a lot of factors at play here. But generally, this sounds like it could be an overpumping type of situation. If you're taking frequent breaks to restore blood flow, etc. I'd imagine it would perhaps lessen the issue? I noticed you didn't mention any breaks or pressure settings. Both are pretty important. Overdoing it can cause the symptoms you're talking about. I've not really had a loss of sensation really unless I've done way too much and not taken a break. Pumping is mostly about doing what your body will allow. Not forcing it to a degree, or things like this can happen. The amount of time you're in the tube for and what the pressure is are some of the most important things to take note of. I've never used a bathmate, but the water in it gives you a false sense of safe pressure settings since the water pressure decreases the actual feeling of the pressure effects. Thinking you're using safe pressure when you could be quite high. At least based on my water pumping experiences.

I was doing 3mins with a 2 min massage x3 I think I might have ist used to much pressure or not warmed up properly.considering I’m still able to be get an erection and orgasm I don’t think I’ve done anything bad. I will use less pressure and only spend 3 mins in the tube eod for a couple of weeks then increase from there.

You may have damaged a nerve. Sounds like it was the "tug" that did it. Peripheral nerves like those used in you dick are capable of healing if they aren't too fucked up. Though it may take years and never return to 100%. Central nerves like spinal cord never do heal. Be kind to yourself and listen to your instincts. Pumping, weights, everything we do comes with risks.
Many of us I'm sure have had episodes of this kind of feeling. I have found using a needle to lightly prick all over is the best way to accurately keep track of which parts are experiencing numbness and also over time monitor the healing process.

It's important not to irritate the nerve with excessive strain or force for the next few months, but do continue to stimulate it gently so it's encouraged to reconnect. Again, the needles help with this. Most of your healing happens in the first few months. After that it slows down a looot.

In my own situation I had a similar experience. But mine came from being too rough while wearing a cockring. It took a few years but I'm around 90% -95% of where I was. Actually if I'm honest it was bit too sensitive before. Now I last longer in bed and fuck a lot harder. I'm happy because my lady will chew on my dick all night if I want so I'm not lacking in sensations or pleasure and I have learned to be thankful for what I have and cherish it more, and treat it with more respect.

I worked in a physiology lab in college where we specialized in nerve damage and healing people so it's well known to me.

I have had the same thing happened in the past but it always resolved itself, it’s happened 3 times and always returned to normal, it happened 7 years ago then I stopped or, it happened 3 years ago and I stopped pe and now this time. Always happens when I pump, I don’t like jelqing so I always try pump but after a couple of days doing it , will return and I end up stopping again, I think I might just get dermal fillers as I’m only looking for girth.

I wanna give an update. It's a good one. I was carrying some heavy stuff when my hand slipped and I had to set this heavy box down suddenly. When I did that I bent over and heard like snaps and cracks in my lumbar spine. It hurt a lot after that I noticed something. My cock and
balls were feeling much more sensitive. I can only guess that I have had an impinged nerve from some long ago back injury. After cracking my back this way I think the cartilage disk in my spine shifted which relieved the pinching on the nerve. Yoga has been helping me loosen up those tendons and muscles in my back. I don't follow any official moves I just stretch and massage my own way. I think I'm pretty much back to 100% sensitivity.

I'm in the same position of loss of sensitivity. Do you still use Bathmate and do you believe it's still safe to use after nerve damage?
