Unable to receive activation link sent to gmail?

Hi, I just tried to sign up with a gmail account, but it didn't work so I'm using a temp workaround.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to registration page and fill in information, make sure to gmail account
2. Click submit
3. Get redirected to page that says "Your account has been created. However, this board requires account activation. An activation key has been sent to the email address you provided. Please check your email for further information and also be sure to check your junk mail box. It may take a while to get the email depending on your email provider."
4. Check gmail account, no email will be received

I also checked spam and waited, no luck.

Seems like a DMARC, DKIM, and SPF misconfiguration causing gmail to block your address if I had to guess?
