Here it is in all its cheapness....
This grest tube cost me under $10.00 in parts and 1 hour in time to put together. Its made from a poly carb food storage unit called the Click Clack, its made in New Zealand, has 5 year warranty, and is cheap as hell. Its a bit taller then we all use but I can live with that. All I did was drill a hole at the base large enough to take a 1/4 inch hose barb, epoxied it with good 5 min epoxy and added a lip of vinyl hose so it wouldnt bite when it was in use.
Cheers

Thanks.....
Gunslinger
The seal is made from 9/16 OD vinyl tubing from Sears. I cut a length that will fit around the lip. split it, and slip it over the edge, then I seal it with 5 min epoxy. The 9/16 tubing eases the cutting by the tube by spreading the preasure over a greater area.
I have made all my gear from off the shelf stuff, I cant see spending big bucks for some thing that is in my local store at 1/10 the price.
Cheers

- let it set for the epoxy to cure, your done. If you want a "comfort seal" around the edge use 9/16 tubing along the edge. See my other post of tubes I've made .

Jerry...
....Thanks for the kind words.
The reason I post alot about my home brewed tubes is I can't get over the prices that we are charged by the big guys. The tubes and stuff that I show in this post and others here on the forum are basically the same tubes, just a hell of a lot cheaper. It isn't as hard as you think to put something together, just be alert when your shopping, and lots of useable stuff will pop out at you.
Like you said if it works go with it.
