How to Make a STJ...
I've been lurking around on these boards for quite a while, and I gotta say...There are some BIG BALLS on here!!!!!! Can't wait to get mine that size. So....how exactly do u put a Sun Tea Jar together? I got the actual jar already (It's a little big, but I think I'll manage). What can I use besides the PumpToys "thing" to make a seal? Anything from Home Depot I can use? How do I hook up the actual pump and tubing to the Jar's nozzle? What kind of pump should I get?

Thanks Guys!!!!

Love those BIG BALLS!!! :o

hey Azboy!

I love my stj myself. I'm sure others will have ideas better than mine, but what i've done is reversed the spigot of the jar and then i can screw a connector into it and attach my tubing and pump.

I just use the old brass hand bilge pump myself.

happy pumping!

I removed the spigot altogether, and slipped in a female quick-release attachment into the hole that's remaining. Use Plumber's Goop (tm) to seal around it - (use in a well-ventilated area) and seal around where the rubber gasket meets the glass, and you're set. Attach your pump to the connector and get huge.

Warm water and a pumptoys stj seal are optional but recommended.

Russ.

Just buy the conversion kit from Pumptoys. It's worth it!!!! I tried a bunch of homebrew stuff and would've saved time and money if I had just gotten the kit to begin with. Buy a pump at your auto parts store.

Cheap and easy. I just cut the nozzle off and stuffed the hose in. This will only work if your pump holds a vacuum. a Mityvacs work great.

I don't use a seal, if it gets a bit uncomfortable I take an aspirin. works great!
