Pictures cutoff date

It seems like January 2016 is the cutoff date for pictures.
None available before that date.

Is that correct?

Is there a way to retrieve my own pictures from before that date?

i have seen earlier but the problem lies at the host where you did upload the pictures to. so they are gone
