I got a pack of 19 gauge hypodermic needles for cbt. I made sure to wrap a rubber band 3 times over with a very tight shoelace over it to minimize bleeding from the shaft and not get an erection. Unfortunately the plan did not work and i bled profusely from my shaft and got an erection which made it worse. I wonder how you can minimize this bleeding while piercing the shaft?

I have pierced my shaft several times straight through the erectile bodies without a problem and without restricting blood flow to my penis. I did it both flaccid and erect. Erect is better because when done flaccid and then getting an erection the swelling of the erection would put pressure and try to bend the needle (and it can hurt). In fact it is common for guys to be prescribed a chemical they can inject into their shaft to help them maintain an erection. So such a thing seems to be medically acceptable.

The trick is to have a finger (or fingers if pierced completely through) ready and the instantly apply pressure to the puncture and hold it for several minutes. I never had any edema or bruising afterward when I did that. It's the same with piercing the glans. When the needle is removed most times blood will spray out in a stream for several minutes. But if pressure is applied immediately and held for several minutes there will be no bleeding.
