I did my first saline and glugose experiments and love it.
Only thing is it took close to 2 hours for 0.5 loter to flow in?
Is that normal?
If not what can i be doig wrong.
I used a 21g needle ,one of those driptube hoses .

Make sure your needle placement is in the sack deeply enough and I'd say hang the bag of fluids as high as you can letting gravity do its thing. Also make sure there are no kinks in your lines. Drip lines come in various drip amounts as well. I use 20drip lines. You find this out when you are ordering them. Hope this helps next time!

19 gauge needles are fine.
Sometimes the needle placement leaves the little hole at the end of the needle pressed up against something inside you, which would block the flow. if this happens next time give it a few minutes to form a small pocket of fluid, and then rotate the needle a little bit, or pull it back a tiny bit. this might be all you need to get a better flow rate

Wel today i did have a go with a 21g needle and it went in 0.5 l in like 20 mins so thats very satisfying.

21g has good flow. 19g is unnecessarily large.
Sometimes I have flow problems even with a pressure cuff so gentle pressure points around the infusion site with my fingers, supporting the weight can speed up flow markedly.
