I am looking for a consensus. A standardized measurement. Ball pumpers when you break out the tape measure, where do you start and end the tape?

Asking because I have seen many claims and photos of men recording size in many different locations. Not that it is a competition. But it would be nice if we were all referencing from the same location.

I put on a ball strap and stretch the tape across it and straight up, while seated. Some guys are simply measuring the circumference of the bag at it’s equator which doesn’t take any consideration for hang.
I believe some of them are already over 30” and don’t know it.
