Most people say not to save saline which makes since but i have a rather specific sitution to ask about. On friday i tried to do an inflatio. With my last needle and administration line. But like an idiot i didnt put the needle in far enough and it slipped out in the first 200ml. I know very amateur of me. I have left the adminstration line in the saline bag and left the bag hanging on my iv pole.

My question is this. Do you think it will still be ok if i swap the iv line and needle or should i throw the saline away and get a fresh bag?

My 2 cents would be to dispose of the saline. Is it worth the possibility of meeting new friends in the medical field and having to explain what happened? Been there, done that..
