Good thoughts. One of my Velseals on a Pump Toys cylinder has torn. The seals are very comfortable but also a little dear to replace. I'm wondering if that stuff you dip tools in (no, not penises--pliers and screwdriver handles) is usable? It wouldn't be as cushy as the silicone seal, of course.
