I am working on the same, tried different methodes and found something what works very well.
It is a pair of sturdy silicone sleeves. You can wear for hours, The glans gets thicker and stays that way for some time after you removed the sleve.

Thanks all for the great suggestions. For me and my pumping habits, I think a variation on the mushroom head tube would be best for me. the weight in the post above is 420 gram (roughly a pound) and has an inside diameter from 30 mm. When I put it on with a very thin silicon sleeve to not pinch my skin while closing, it was sitting so snug that I could not pee at all. So today I returned it to the hardware store and got myself a 700 gramm 35 mm inside diameter weight. The are used in the marine section to put weight on a rope (I think). I will modify the inside with silicone layers to fit my penis, with a small front opening so it sits snug behind the head and enough space around the shaft so it can swell and lets urine through.
