Went to a Urologist and explained that I have ED and I have taken Viagra, Cialis, etc with all the usual side effects and very little results. He decided to try Papaverine @ 1cc. Had a rock hard erection for about 3 hours. He also gave me some daily use Cialis to try. Next visit he let me inject myself with .5cc of Pap and good 2 hour erection... girlfriend was very happy that day. The reason we tried the Pap was that I travel 90% of the time and it requires no refrigeration and has long shelf life. The first time I filled the prescription, I was surprised at the price. It was only $20.00 per 10ml vial. That gives me 20 injections per vial. I'll try a .25cc injection next just to experiment. And just my luck... my next trip is to the Philippines and Thailand.
Has anyone had any problems using Pap? Also, I am using a 31 gauge insulin needle to minimize scar formation.

Be very careful when using more than the recommended dose. I have a spinal cord injury and sometimes have difficulty getting an erection. About 10 or so years ago I was using papaverine and I decided to double the suggested dose and let me tell you, it was very scary. I had an eretion for 12 hours! It was very painful and scary. I had a prescription to make the erection go down but it didn't work. I don't remember what it was called but I took one pill every twnty minutes for and hour so it was three in total. It had no effect! I had to go to a 24 hour pharmacy and have it refilled and took three more pills. When I woke in the morning, my erection was gone. I NEVER used paparverine since. Be very very carefull.

becareful i have used papaverine for twenty three years i shoot between .3 and-4 good for two hours

I never exceed what the Dr. recommends. I actually decreased his dosage as 3 hours was to long for me. Going .5cc to .7cc is just the thing for me. Lasts about 1 to 1.5 hours.
