And promised pictures of the finished tube.

Like I said, it's not perfect, but it is very clear compared to plain transparent petg right off the printer. I'm excited to try it.

Man, that's one hell of build!!!

What's your layer hieght, print speed and volumetric flow rate when you printed it in vase-mode? .8 nozzle with 1.2 line width, that's pushing a lot of filament.

I also made an update on the model to incorporate some of your ideas (different thicknesses, separated parts), to make it easier to modify the design

My layer height was .4 my temp was 260 and we'll, I use a k1 max and slice with creality print. There are preset settings for for different materials and nozzle sizes. So I picked . 8 nozzle and petg. I left most of the settings as is except the line width and ticked spiral vase mode. Sent it to the printer. Then upped the temp from the preset 240, up to 260 and set the flow rate to 120 percent on the tuning option on the printer itself.
I'm not sure where to look in the settings to see what the flow is otherwise in the slicer.
It turned out great tho.

I'm in the process of making a new tube. 3.5 now as I packed the 3 inch already. I'm going to make it the same way. But, I'm going to use the 3 inch base, I modded it to fit the bigger tube and I made it removable, so I can pull out of the tube and wear the base as a ring until I can get out of it. I'll post pics after it's done.

It's funny, because after I packed it last night I tried using a bigger straight tube I had that was bigger, and after using this BMCC a straight tube just don't cut it no more, I did get bigger sure, but the shape is just not the same. So I came right inside and started modifying a new tube lol.

I didnt take a picture of it fully packed but I did get on the night before with it like 95 percent packed. It's funny because I never planned on going bigger that this tube, I told myself if I pack this then that's it, I'll keep packing it till I can do it faster and faster. But it's addicting. Once you get there you just want more lol I'm at the point where I'm seriously considering sl injections again for longer lasting size. But doing so will render these tubes useless for a very long time. Ugh decisions decisions.
