So the biggest problem I have with infusing is the uneven fill with a single injection site. I started using longer 2 inch catheters to fill deeper which helps some. I also tried switching needles and sides half way through the bag of fluid, when using .75 inch butterfly/scalp needles. Both are better than a single site butterfly/scalp needle. The cath still is single site/side and the two needle method is more work and shallower fill.
I was wondering if anyone has ever pierced through the scrotal septum (the tissue that separates the testicles) with a needle. I was thinking that when using a 2" catheter, I could insert it so the last half inch passes through the septum to the other side. For example pierce the skin on the right side of the scrotum then angle it to the left so the it passes through the septum and enters the left camber. I could fill the left with half the fluid, then partially withdraw the catheter. This would allow the tip of the catheter to re-enter the right side and begin filling it. I think the hole through the septum would be small enough not to cause any issues and might actually allow better migration between sides, helping to achieve a more even fill.
Has anybody tried or heard of anything like this. Should I give it a try or is it a bad idea.

Re: Scrotal septum question
I've never had this issue either. Usually when I inject on one side, it starts out uneven. But after an hour it balances out.

Re: Scrotal septum question
It evens out but only about 80% and takes a few hours. I think it is mostly due to the fact that I use dex5 and dex10. When I use 2 needles it is almost completely even after infusion. But again two pokes and less depth.BowlingJim wrote: Thu Jul 31, 2025 6:47 am I've never had this issue either. Usually when I inject on one side, it starts out uneven.
