Re: 11/21/2024 - FORUM MAY BE DISCONTINUED
Hi BigRay.
Firstly, thankyou for the effort you've put in to create this forum.
I'd be very dismayed if you did discontinue this forum, for a few reasons:
Whether or not this forum exists, ppl are going to continue to do what they have always done, and yes, sometimes they hurt themselves, but again, this will happen anyway, forum or not.
As it is now, with members posting what they get up to, you get exchange of information about what works and what doesn't; what to be careful of, and what to avoid doing.
I've recently begun to use KY Jelly, which set off a discussion about Surgilube, and the problems it can cause, since it has a different chemical composition to KY.
In my case, in 1979 (no internet), there were no forums to give me ideas, just kinky magazine articles, but that was all I needed. ):-]]]
In 1979, I accidentally pushed a pin through my frenulum. Saw this shiny tip just poke through the skin.
Was a mix of "oh shit" and ""oh wow" all at once.
And it's been all downhill since then. Hee hee heeee.
Anything you can think of, I've probably done it to my cock, balls, or boobs.
Skewering (with hypo's and skewers), exposing, saline inflation - to each of them. Talk about a Mindrush.
Then saw a fetish site where a cock was inflated with saline to the point of bursting; a sac had dozens of coloured sewing pins pushed fully in to the balls; long needles pushed through both balls, and so on.
Since then, I do what comes out of my kinky imagination.
So, getting back to the topic of closure, I don't think it's a good idea, for the reasons I've outlined.
I, and I think, many others, would miss it enormously, and for some, it would not be beneficial as it would leave them experimenting in the dark, so to speak.
Thanks again

Re: 11/21/2024 - FORUM MAY BE DISCONTINUED
First off, thank you for this forum and maintaining it as you have for so long. I've been visiting since 2003 even though it took me a couple years to make my first post. The info here helped me make many leaps in my size hobby over the years. But yes, it required a critical eye about what advice to follow or ignore even back then.
I agree that a few recent topics and replies have discussed risky to very risky activities. I'm also aware some of my posts could be described this way too. Sorry for being part of the problem. There's far more posts about normal fun results and life stories of pros/cons around our injection/infusion fetish than risky advice though.
You're right that you bear an incredible amount of risk if this is left as is. I agree with the others that either some moderation, or a passing of the torch are potentially reasonable solutions. Moderation keeps the community resource in a place people know to look for it. Passing of the data to a new phpbb owner retains the history and info but separates you from where it goes from here. I'd be happy to be part of a small moderation group here to keep the particularly risky posts at bay. The fact this forum is very easily searchable on Google is evidence enough that something needs to be done to protect both you and the encouraging forum members from legal risk if something goes horribly wrong for a reader.

Re: 11/21/2024 - FORUM MAY BE DISCONTINUED
Thank you for what I'd consider probably one of the best resources out there for this sort of sexual activity and play. I've been a member here for years and have learned and exchanged information with many great people here. I do see however, the rise in certain types of posts here that I also agree seem to be heading away into an even more extreme possible area of this and perhaps deviating so far as to be what some would consider life threatening. I think many have said it, that having this resource vanish and have it's vast pool of knowledge lost. Maybe a more strict moderation and a hard limit as to what can be discussed and posted here should maybe be more limited. Granted some forms of play here are already seen as extreme. But putting a hard layer down as to what should be discussed here might be a better course of action than say, just wiping the whole thing.
In my opinion, leaving the pumping sections where they are and limiting the extreme parts of this forum being saline and gas inflations. Anything more than that such as body mods, cutting, castration, silicone injection should be the types of things removed. I know it will make a lot of people unhappy there. But being those are deemed the most extreme, unsafe, and possibly life threatening practices and probably most of the tied posts that the admin perhaps finds disturbing are likely tied to those related topics. Those should be the ones limited/removed.
Pumping >> Fine
Saline Injection >> Fine >> posts of injection of saline into Testicles might be deemed the line there
Gas Inflations >> Possibly fine >> more extreme end of inflation and carries it's own risks this probably should be the hard end of the forum
Body Modification >> Fine >> Limited to non-cutting related topics (i.e. piercings , maybe genital beading , tattooing genitals) >> no silicone injections, cutting, castration, or medical related modifications or injections of anything other than saline into body parts)
Just my suggestion. It does limit this forum, but maybe it will make the admin/owners a bit more comfortable with the content here and it also allows it largely stay operational.

Would really hate to see it go. As far as I know one of the only places to get advice and warning from people that have actually done it.
People will still do it, just will just do it a lot less informed …
That said if you do take it down thank you running as long as you have.

Hello admin!
I have been around this forum for a few years and I’m a younger gentleman myself; I am not even thirty yet. I don’t represent anyone but myself, and I fully believe in what we do is at our own volition whether it is safe or not. I spent an entire year just watching some of our legendary infusers post about their experience and wisdom. Yes, I fully agree that what we do is dangerous, and I’d like to think I have some common sense at this point in time. I’ve infused and have learned from it, and I’m at a point now that other solutions are dangerous whether it be: silicone, ky, Surgilube, HA, etc. I will personally put disclaimers in my posts from here on out, and I would encourage a rule or a standard format disclaimer(s). I’d say the rule should have a disclaimer in the post, arguably at the top of it in bold letters. If you need us to, I think our community would pay for a kickstarter campaign to getting a lawyer who would provide us said disclaimer.
I do not want you to shut down the forum, I’ve seen amazing works of art here. We are informative and the archives will show that to a full extent…it just takes some time to dig and find it is all. I personally buy sterile equipment and use it one time, I would be terrified of home sterilization; that’s recipe for disaster in my mind. Speaking of which, I remember when one guy accidentally infused homemade saline and injected while it was too hot and not sterile? We learned from that, or so I’d like to think. I would personally volunteer to moderate, and only with your wisdom in matters.

This has the same level of panic to someone who realized that people die when they are killed.
Like any sport or hobby, there are risks, even to the "safest" ones. There are risks going too far and doing it unsafely and not taking the proper precautions to ensuring you are safely doing any part of the process. THAT IS WHY FORUMS LIKE THESE EXIST. You think car enthusiasts are gonna stop racing on abandoned roads to avoid the police? No, that's why bastions like these exist so for those that DO THESE ACTIONS have the resources to ensure they are doing everything they can to do it as safely as possible, despite the risks. I bet you drive a car too, right? You are aware your risk of injury driving is incredibly high, right? Yet, here you are saying THIS is dangerous? Hun, on most cases here I don't think anyone ever goes into this without second guessing themselves first or jumping in blindly.
You cannot protect people from being stupid, that is on them, not on you, that is not a failure as the admin, so why remove this resource that hundreds of people like me will often use? This as a source to learn this admittedly risky hobby and progressively make it easier and safer to perform. By removing this you will only increase the risk of people injuring themselves doing saline, or pumping or putting any other substance in their body.
In a sense, this is a form of censorship as well. Because you or some other source has construed this forum is a danger, then you simply do not understand/remember how this hobby was BEFORE resources like this existed. Be removing it, you will remove valuable discussions and resources to people like me, who are a little too hungry for size in certain places to take 'no' for an answer. It'll only enlarge (hehe) the risk of someone not having the resources necessary to do it and INCREASE the likelihood on injury, infection or malpractice likely by some significant percentage.
People will continue to be stupid. People will continue to making their scrotum/boobs/any vacant cavity in their body larger by injecting some solution or otherwise foreign substance. The least you can do if this bothers you so much is to either leave and give the reigns to someone else to manage or realize that you do not understand the repercussions by removing this forum. Everyone will lose and will simply restart elsewhere without you if this comes to fruition. So tell me, why do you wanna inconvenience so many people because you are NOW uncomfortable with the subject after 20 years? PASS THE BATON DUDE!
I understand that I may sound unsympathetic or rude, but you need to understand the greater picture here. Like, look at the big picture with a thousand microscopes. I am new to this hobby and want to grow myself; this has been a beautiful resource of information, safety tips and inspiration that is at least, easier to access compared to something like a private discord servers where you have to know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy's cousin to get in. Even then, they are not an organized resource like it is here that has things by title with a simple and effective search function.
You CANNOT protect me or anyone else for that matter, regardless of how hard you may try. So the least you can do it permit this expansive library and access to likeminded people so we can keep that risks as low as possible and communication open. Also, reddit is not an option as their policies do not allow material like this.
This is not rocket science, and I hope you will understand I am coming from a place and peace and love for you and this community. I don't want to be in the dark about this hobby again.

The risk of someone being seduced into a potentially fatal procedure should somehow be averted.
For example, I wanted to try KY infusions because this is described here as a possible alternative. I'm glad I stayed away from it. I don't have to understand everything men want to do with their bodies. I find a lot of what I see in the forum unattractive. So what! I can only speculate about the reasons why we do what we do. A huge genitalia is just a fantasy that we help to achieve thanks to more or less risky interventions. Endangering your own life should be absolutely taboo. I think this should be highlighted more prominently in the forum.

Oh no!
This board is a strong force for harm reduction. It may have saved lives. There is detailed safety information, threads of folks discouraging obviously bad practice, and useful stories of things gone terribly wrong. I have personally benefitted tremendously. It's possible that without the wealth of information here, I myself may have engaged in accidentally unsafe practices and been injured, or worse.
I draw a strong parallel between this board and erowid.org, a harm reduction website for recreational drug users. They share accurate information and real-life stories. Some of those stories are extreme and could be misconstrued as "encouraging" drug use. Some are so extreme they're analogous to the KY posts you mention here - people consuming dangerously high doses or drug combinations. But the site serves a crucial purpose in it's community. It's used as a resource for drug users, but also ER doctors and researchers. Without any doubt, it saves lives.
Morally, I think the right thing to do is keep it open. Harm reduction is a noble endeavor. However, regarding worries about liability, would you perhaps consider adding a strong disclaimer? Perhaps an auto-reply to every post or something similar, so it's visible everywhere. I'm sure we'd all be happy to help author such a thing.
I do hope you'll consider it. And whatever you decide, thanks so much for providing this excellent community resource for all these years.

I don’t do saline but geez I love looking at those who do and marvel in their size, gas inflation as well, I have noticed over the 20 yrs of being on this forum that other, more unsafe practices are being posted in here however, it’s not for me to say one way or the other, to do or not to do but I see where you are coming from, maybe get back to the fundamentals of saline inflation and moderate the others if that would keep this forum open, whatever your decision I for one appreciate your dedication to this community you have created.
The bigger they are the harder I get.

The forum is titled SALINE Inflation - This is safe if hygiene is followed. There are many posts here that promote this. If you look on other sites - like Reddit for example - there are people who come asking for support & how to's. I always send them here as it is always the most informed place to come. Let's face it - if it's a thing people will want to do it, so let's help everyone do it as safely as possible.
Perhaps the problem here is that other potentially unsafe practices are being discussed with more frequency. So, instead of removing the forum - let us police it - Nothing else should be discussed here apart from Saline (and Glucose 5% ?). Can we try this first before you shut it down ?

This is one of the rare spaces to get together with those, who are interested in diverse things, like we do here.
Nothing compares to this forum!
I would also donate some money to keep together with all those guys and knowledge!
Please don't give it up.

Lack of information can lead to harmful practices as well. It's a toss up admin, but I think that this community as a whole is level headed and calls out dangerous practices when it's done. I've noticed multiple question threads asking if they can inject this or that, and overwhelmingly they get told not to do that and that it's dangerous and stupid.
Personally I would like to see this board kept as is, but with maybe slight moderation or a bot that responds to certain topics giving a pre-scripted warning to users in the thread. I would also like to see a completely new stickied topics update on the dangers of everything. There is a reason the police have shown users how to make meth, because they will do it anyway and the best outcome is to just teach them how to do it safely. It's also time to update the homepage newart.com, as it's out dated and images and links do not work. Make that front page a giant guide of links and warnings.

It would be a heavy loss to the "Modded" community. I started pumping 15 years ago and I was shown/advised how to do it correctly thru this site. This site and a few Yahoo groups is where I learned what to do and what not to do.
The only other site is Discord but please note that if anyone questions how to start pumping or infusing, Newart is always referenced! All other sites have been discontinued, making Neward even more important in our community.
If need be, I would pay a small subscription fee to help keep the site going.
Thank you for all the years you have kept this site up and running! If you do decide to shut it down, it would be a detrimental hit to the community!

Or may be one of us will take the site as a legacy.
I could imagine myself to do so.

What I don’t understand is how you can have concerns about this forum while, on the body modification side, someone is injecting calcium chloride into their penis to essentially cause necrosis.
I understand the concerns about liability, but many other forums and websites have found ways to mitigate it. I agree with other users—disclaimers should be prominently displayed. Even Reddit, which is quick to remove dangerous subreddits, still allows r/salineinflation.
I also worry about suppliers catching on, but that’s a risk regardless of this forum. Most of my suppliers aren’t even listed here; I found them after hours of searching Google.
As others have said, removing this wealth of information could potentially be more harmful. This forum serves as a centralized hub for sharing knowledge and best practices, which is vital for harm reduction. Without it, users may turn to unvetted sources, potentially leading to greater risks and injuries.
Beyond information, this forum offers a unique community where people can share experiences and provide support. Removing it would dismantle that support system and leave users navigating these practices alone.
There are countless examples of users who have avoided severe consequences by learning from this forum. Removing this resource might deprive future users of life-saving advice.
By implementing strong disclaimers and vetting moderators carefully, you can address liability concerns without losing the forum's immense value. Additionally, setting clear rules and community guidelines could further mitigate risks.
