I think a moderator BOT needs to be added to the room to keep it open and meet the site's requirement(?) for adult rooms.

Tried using Moderator as you indicated but then it asks for password! Any idea what that would be?

You need to use a legitimate account github, google, etc. and allow jitsi to have access to that account. I created an account on github to test the viability and it works.

Regarding http://meet.jit.si/newart, I placed a dummy Moderator in the room and was able to join the room with my usual username. I can leave the username Moderator in the room indefinitely for now but there should be some permanent solution, like a moderator bot as I mentioned before.

I decided to not to continue to occupy the room as dummy moderator any longer because there is practically no traffic in the room. People interested in video chat will have to login to hold the room for the duration of their sessions.

You have to login as moderator, with a valid google, github, etc. You will be given the opportunity to make an account on jitsi and after that you can login as moderator.
