there is a lot of info in this forum just check it out. the dex will swell you but twice the size that .09 saline will. 1 liter of saline equal 2 liters of saline. Remmber you will swell with dex so you might try 500ml to start. Just a thought.

Well, not with me. Right now I am infusing 1 l of NaCl, seems much more than the 0.5 l 5% Gl yesterday. Dextrose draws not that much fuids out of my body. It feels nicer to start the infusion with 0.5% Gl, saline stings in the beginning.
