You have induced me to buy 3 litre bags of glucose so I will have my first glucose infusion shortly. My bag can easily take 1 litre of saline and so I shall start off with 500 ml of glucose.

Sounds like a great plan. You’re really going to love the expansion, especially when taking care not to over fill before you know what to expect!

Thanks, I will always credit pumping to my ability to reach such volume. You would do extremely well with Dextrose if you ever decide to cross over to the dark side!

I shook almost uncontrollably the first time I did it.
Since you are such an accomplished pumper you probably have thicker than normal skin. Sometimes I can feel it piercing more than one layer inside there.
If you’re certain that you followed sterile procedures and take your time inserting it, there is still very little pain. Sometimes I take as long as 5 minutes to get it in fully.
It almost feels more like an itch than a needle prick.
