5% Dextrose & .9% Sodium Chloride vs 5% Dextrose

Specifically I'd like to know the difference between these two:
I've used L6100 before with good results.

I have L5100 now and would to use it however I want to know more about it. If the 5% dextrose is in a solution, what is the solution? It says dextrose and water for injection. I thought .9% sodium chloride was the closest to whats best for the body but this just says water. 1. is it safe for inflation? 2. Is it different if so how? The ph and everything seems the same in both. What would a Dr. use one or the other for?
Thanks to anyone who knows!
