stepped plug sizes and source

Several people in older threads have recommended stretching by using hollow plugs worn continuously until they fall out, which is supposed to happen in a couple of weeks, at which point you're supposed to insert a plug .5mm larger and start over. It sounds reasonable, except:

Where do you get plugs stepped like that?!

All I've found so far are 1mm steps on the largest diameter of the plug, and the diameter of the forward shaft that goes through the meatal strictures is seldom mentioned. The only things I've seen in .5mm steps are medical sounds, not suitable for daily wear.

As I imagine it, what I should be looking for would be a straight shaft with a bullet end and a .5mm groove for the meatal strictures, not something that looks like a cherry. Or am I barking up the wrong tree entirely?
