Concerns about Long-Term Effects of Inflation

Post by ol0run »

Hi everyone,

I have been a lurker on this forum for quite some time and have always been interested in inflation. I have tried a couple of N2O/saline before, but nothing as big as I've seen on here. Recently, I got married, and I was wondering how I can introduce this to my wife. I know she is into trying new things, but she always prioritizes safety.

We all know that our testicles regulate temperature by rising up and contracting to keep our testes and sperm safe and functional at the optimal temperature. However, doing this repeatedly over the long run can significantly affect fertility, is this true?

Can anyone share their experience of introducing this to their partner?

I can only comment on sharing with my wife... The first time I went with a little over 300ml and said I'd just bruised myself whilst working (Building DIY at home) But it wasn't long befor i's done it again and she didn't believe me. She seemed to enjoy it so I got her to help out one day... since then she likes to take me out shopping at the supermarket after...500ml and very baggy clothes.

Definitely not an authority here about this, not sure who would be. Outside of Laparoscopy surgery, I don't know of another instance where n2o is used to internally fill a bodily cavity.

Can it effect fertility? Probably. That is if your trying to concieve directly after a huge infusion. We constantly regulate the testes temperature because we are constantly fertile, we dont have breeding seasons. Other animals testes shrink and engorge depending on mating seasons.
Now, your testes will likely have a hard time regulating temperature when inflated with gas or saline. Likely it would only have issues cooling off. But thats for the short time of the infusion. Your testes are constantly pumping out new eggs, so this should not be a concern.

For long term issues, the most I can think of is an inguinal hernia. When a loop of intestine pulls itself into the scrotal cavity. I have no clue if infusion can exhasterbate this risk, but I wouldnt rule it out. (It could be possible to limit this risk by inflating your bowels before infusions, letting gas pressure keep the intestines too taut to slip into something like the scrotal cavity, but I have no medical expertise to say for sure if this would help any.)

fair point it's true that our bodies constantly regulate testes temperature for fertility for example exposure to high temperatures, such as hot tubs or saunas, can temporarily reduce sperm production.
Regarding the potential risk of inguinal hernias with infusions, it's interesting to consider the idea of inflating the bowels before infusions to possibly limit this risk
thanks for info

My advice is to be open about it, I was with my the gf, now wife, Started with pumping, got stuck in a 2 stage a few times and introduced the idea of saline infusion, I mentioned to her that I have done my research and know what to do it's faster than pumping for hours and is better overall. I've done pumping for years and done about 9 infusions of either saline or 5% glucose and saline. My wife always mentioned I can do it for as Iong as i want so long as we can have kids.
Fast forward 5 years, still infusing and have a child, my sperm tests all came back within normal limits when we we're trying, turns out my wife had the issues, not me.
Not saying this will be the same for you but letting you know so long as you don't do anything silly you should be fine. Maybe get a semen analysis done before you start to see if you have any issues first before starting, once you've done some infusing give it a month and get another done and see if there is any difference.
