5% lidocaine

I have been using Uber numb for a few cuts and needle pokes and find it is not enough. I have left it on for up to an hour in somewhat Heavy amounts for the size of the area have tried covering it with plastic wrap that doesn’t make much difference. Is there a better stronger product I could use for this?

Injectable lidocaine will work better but the hard part is finding it, I am in Ontario Canada and can no longer find a source.
