Discoloration and circ scar

I am wondering if a typical brown ring circumcision scar is susceptible to becoming even darker from discoloration?
I've been pumping just a little bit and I really like it but have noticed a small amount of overall discoloration, which doesn't really bother me.
But my circumcision scar is pretty pronounced and is very dark and I wouldn't want it to get any darker.
Does anybody know if scar tissue is susceptible to discoloration?
