The doctor didn’t like the meatotomy. I got the feeling that it made his job of doing the circumcision more complicated. Instead of a simple cut around the head, he stated that he would have to cut a V into the bottom of the circumcision to clear the opening of the urethra. I used his advice when I did my own. I rolled more of the top foreskin forward and enough of the bottom foreskin to clear the urethra.

Did he said about something about the meato? For example you will have problems with it later, or it has any health risks?

He said nothing along those lines. He only asked whether it interfered with urinating. I’ve not had a problem urinating with the meatotomy with or without the foreskin.

Loved the posts and pics on this topic. I severely want to be circumcised...never was at birth. Parents said the doctor said I didn't need one. After pumping, my foreskin is way too long now for my pleasure (intercourse)...although I do like it during jacking. I don't have the guts or patience (or knowledge of needed supplies) of these guys to do it myself. Guess I'll save up and try to find a doctor. Would like to hear other's experiences.

If you want to get cut go ahead. Just make sure that you know what kind of result you want beforehand, and that your doctor of choice has experience with that style.

I'm sure you'll enjoy a tight cut. It's really the best you can have. Hope you'll get a result as tight as you want though. From what I've read, and experienced myself, some doctors seem to be afraid of making it too tight. This can lead to revisions being necessary to tighten the cut. So the importance of communicating your desired result can't be stressed enough.

@Dbuda, I was cut by choice 3 years ago at age 56. I found a specialist clinic that deals only with circumcision. A lot of cultures still require it as a part of their faith I believe, Jewish, Middle Eastern, African etc. My Dr was popular with Islamic families and he wasn't that expensive either. I'd suggest looking online for circ clinics in your area.

I'd already cut my frenulum some years before so I recommend getting that all removed at the same time if you can. I'm unsure but I believe some Dr's leave some of the frenulum after circ.

My cut is highish, I have about 1" of the thin prepuce left when pulled back. When fully erect the skin pulls tight and smooth, as you'd want it.

Healing takes about a month to seal properly. I recommend getting stitches rather than the glue some clinics use. My glue didn't hold in a couple of spots, I'm a grower, and this prolonged the healing process. Your scar will be a bit lumpy and pronounced for a year, maybe two, depending on your age (healing is slower as we age). Mine is now very smooth, you can see the alteration in skin colour but that's the only indicator there was a scar there.

As for my personal experience, I've loved it, the partner loves it and my sex life is as good or better than before because your glans gets bigger once it's free of a foreskin hood. I haven't noticed any reduction in sensitivity but I do moisturise my glans to stop keritinisation of the surface.

I estim quite a bit and not having foreskin in the way messing up the electrical resistance is great. I also pump while stimming and after a few years my foreskin became loose, ugly and annoying. The only down side (if you can call it that) is I now get a donut when pumping, some like it, I don't.

Everyone's experience is different, I'm happy I did it, others as you've read are not. Up too you. Happy to answer any questions I haven't answered already.
