i cant seem to get a good seal after i infuse with saline, which in turn leaks out rather quickly. Are there other tips i could use to help seal the hole faster and stop leakage.

one thing that worked for me is to put the needle through the skinfor the first 3-5mm at a steep angle rather than straight through.

dont use superglue! i used to stop leaking with SG, but i find that small amount of it stays under skin, which is really uncomfortable and hard to get it out after filling place is healed. 
now i use large office clip (http://tinyurl.com/c5e8rzj) padded with paper towel. keep it on place 5 or more minutes, and it can stops leaking after 3 liter infusion.

Tiny drop of super glue on a small round plaster after a few minutes of pressure + needle in at an angle always!
