Sorry for all the guys who are really impotent, but I'm trying to find a way to stay flaccid. I'm too easily excited and this is a problem when going to the sauna (shame) or during penile play with sounds and other stuff.

I'm looking for pills that will prevent you from getting an erection. Does anyone know a brand or place to get them. I heard they prescribe these after penis surgery to prevent nighttime erections, which will hurt and hinder healing.

I don't know about prescription meds, but you can try antihistamines, especially those for sinusitis. They may make you feel drowsy, but they will inhibit erection.

Have you tried having a wank just before you go to the sauna.

Wasn't there a drug of some sort used during the 2nd world war called saltpeter that prevented erections? I heard that they were putting it into the water to prevent 'unwanted' erections in the enlisted men.

There was a drug in the army for recruits. It's not salpeter (HNO3), but kamfer (= camfor). At least this was the story, that went on and on between rookies (new soldiers).
Camfor derivatives are being used in complete anaethesia (= narcose) too for getting the brain on a higher level of activity.

There was a dumb TV show called "Lenny & Spenny" on which two guys had a no-erection contest.
One of them found a doctor who apparently did a hypodermic nerve block at the base of his
penis. It apparently worked for more than a week.

Hiya,
Good news and bad news. Good news, I know a pill that does cause fewer erections. Bad news, It lowers the amount of Testosterone in the body. In other words, no erections, but lowers sex drive and would cause gynocomastia (man boobs).
The drug is Spironolactone. It is used for high blood pressure and for MTF transsexuals. It is a Testosterone blocker. Excellent for Trans women such as myself who don't want the T in their system as it interferes with the estrogen we take. But it can be used alone. Anyhoo... Weigh the options ;)

There has been a long time story about a food additive called Saltpetre, which has neither been conclusively proved or disproved.

The story may only be urban myth and usually goes something like this: In the past, various military organisations have used the additive Saltpetre in the food that it feeds to it's personel. The purpose of this additive was to significantly reduce or prevent the occurrence of erections. This was intended to prevent sexual activity between the personnel or with civilians.

The chemical compund Potassium Nitrate (chemical formula KNO3), also known as Saltpetre, has long been thought to decrease sex drive and more specifically to prevent erections. There does not appear to be any specific scientific evidence to support the claim that the substance causes such an effect, however there does not not appear to be any real research done on this aspect either. Potassium Nitrate has been long used in food manufacturing due to it's usefulness as a preservative. Potassium Nitrate also plays some role in the oxidation process, as in salami which remains pink, the meat would ordinarily turn brown without it's presence.

I do not know if Potassium Nitrate (Saltpetre) really prevents erections, however it is well known that both Sodium and Potasium in the diet have an adverse effect in the human body of increasing the blood pressure, and increasing the blood pressure has an adverse effect on the ability to get an erection (ie. the ability decreases).

Why not try hypnosis?

BTW, HNO3 is Nitric Acid I believe, and not Saltpetre. It probably won't prevent an erection, but it probably could burn you penis right off!
