My observation over the last couple of years

I am not new to this forum, but this is a recently new name.
I am 69 years old and have been impotent for about 4-5 years.
I find that I awaken in the night or morning thinking I have an erection because that is what it feels like.
When I check it out, I am usually only semi-hard, but it feels great.
I do smoke and drink and that probably has something to do with it, but the orgasams (?) are just as great as ever. My partner died 7 years ago of cancer and he was still having sex with me until the last few hours. He was 70 at the time. You guys give too much importance to erections. They feel wonderful, but you can learn to have a lot of great sex without them.
Give it some thought. I have studied this with my Dr. for years.
He is just as gay as I am and younger, and he is also having problems.
Any comments are fine, but not necessary. I am enclosing a first pic of me currently.
