I've had success with this suture. The reverse cutting needle helps with getting it trough.

Yeah I found the curved needle to be more effective at getting through the piece of skin. Thank you

Update: first two ties went well, frenulum sethered through but now just want to make another one to remove the excess skin and get it close as close as possible to the glans to allow full retraction. Does anyone have any tips of where to make the piercing? Thanks

I cut my frenulum partially back years ago. Where the black dots are is where it originally joined together.
It bled a lot, so be careful if you go for it!!!.
