I use a hot air gun and some leather work gloves and a flat clean surface, to form most edges and shapes. I have made formers to create tidier ovals etc
Take your time heating the tube evenly, or use an oven,. There is quite a lot of trail and error involved in making your own tubes.
But when it works it is very satisfying, good luck with your project.

Nice job! I've been making those also, it's a hell of a job! Great to see nice results
