First pump
I have pumped before but not followed any routine. I was concerned following the Big Routine starting as beginner I followed the 5 minutes at PT and 2 minutes BT. Total PT was 30 minutes. I had a lot of purple and some pain. Is this to be expected? Some pics to show. Any helpful advice is appreciated.

Re: First pump
The purple is bruising which is common for beginners. Pain isn't a great sign but don't be discouraged!
You have to be mindful of the pressure you are using. Your penis doesn't respond to pain as well mid-pump. If your pump has a gauge you should try to start at lower pressures to get your body adjusted. Low would be considered 1-3 HG. Also try to start with 10-20 min sessions. Until your skin gets used to bringing in more blood flow and being stretched you will need to work your way up to higher pressures and longer sessions.

Re: First pump
Great! Thank you for the helpful insight. I was under pressure at 5-7 HG. My pump does have a gauge. I will be mindful of pressure and reduces time.
