Questions after first infusion.

Post by formeonly99 »

Hello,

I am a long time lurker and have been wanting to try infusion ever since I learned about it years ago. I finally broke down and got all the supplies, but took another twoish months before I could get over my fear of needles. When I finally did it was the best thing ever. No pain, thanks lidocaine cream.

I did this about 3 weeks ago. I used a 21G butterfly and 5% dextrose. Went in right below the base and to the the right of the seem with the full length of the needle. I had 500ml in two 250ml bags, and switched after the first bag was done without introducing air in to drip line. Was able get to about 350ml before I decided to stop. I could tell the dex was causing swelling as it is known to do. I stopped at the perfect time because with the swelling I don't think I could take the full 500ml. The other reason I stop was I was a little bit worried about how much more inflated the injection sight was, and thought I might be under the skin and not in the sack. I don't this this was the case because after a several hours it subside, but I am not sure. I then sealed the hole which was a little difficult with it seeping and trying to get the glue on it and dry. Placed bandaid and rubbed down with Alaffia Whipped Shea Butter & Coconut Oil.

First day was a little weird and slightly uncomfortable, not painful. However the second and third days were great once the swelling subsided and everything started hanging nicely. Everything was pretty much back to normal by the end of day four.

Now in my excitement I forgot to have a tourniquet, which led to migration to the right side of my shaft and a little to my pubic area. I am fine with this as me balls still had most of the fluid and swelling. Also obviously with the needle off center the right side fill significantly faster and took about 4 hours after to somewhat even out. Massaging it around seemed to help.

Lastly the one thing that I didn't like was the the bottom center of my sack never really inflated and stretch like the rest of my sack. It stayed kind of tight and dimpled in like it had something pulling from the inside. It also stayed a few shades darker than the rest of my sack. Closer to my normal tone while the rest got pinker and whiter.

So now to the questions:

1. Would placing the needle closer to or on the seem lead to a more even fill? (I know two needles on either side or switching halfway through would be the better option, but still slightly scared one needle and one stab let alone two.)

2. Do you think I miss the sack and just injected under the skin?

3. What is the cause of the large dimple I mentioned and will it go away after I do more inflations?

4. Will placing the needle lower like in the middle of the dimple help?

5. Since I did it my sack skin felt extra thick when tight, but was fine when warm and slacked. Is this to be expected?

6. My sack has been slightly more itchy since especially when cold and tight. Is this to be expected?

7. Is the tourniquet absolutely necessary and will is solve any of the things I ran into other than migration?

8. Is there anything that sounds concerning or something I might have missed?

I really appreciate any and all input you have and if there is any information missing please ask.

Thanks

This happened to me during my first N02 inflation.

For needle placement, go with whatever makes you the most comfortable. For the most even filling, your going to need multiple needle placements. For a normal fill, whatever works is fine, its just the nature of the fascia of the body that keeps skin connected to muscle that things will bubble until moved or completely filled.

You can expect the skin to be itchy, it can get very itchy.
The fluid does not naturally expand evenly unless you completely fill the cavity. My N02 inflation mostly inflated just the injection site until I manually pushed it around with my hands, forcing it to migrate to the rest of my shaft instead of the bubble it was making in a specific part.

Your skin feeling tight is just inflammation. Its swelling because as far as its concerned it got stretched way further than its used too. Its like if you grabbed some skin on your arm and pulled it out for hours on end, it would get a little inflamed too.

A tourniquet is only helpful for high volume fills where you want to isolate the results. There is no way to eliminate migration, only mitigate it. You would need to cut off circulation with your pressure to completely prevent migration. Its going to happen, tying off just makes it happen slower during the injection. By the second day it migrates all it wants anyways.

1 This question does not make sense and it arose because it is your first. With the number of times you will understand that it does not need what you think.

2 If even a needle got into the bag and it is glucose, there should be no consequences. It's bad when gels and silicone get into the bag!

3 You have a dimple because the skin has not yet adapted to injections.

4 See answer number 3.

5 This is normal, the skin has absorbed liquid.

6 Regeneration of new skin cells, this means skin growth.

7 The tourniquet is needed in two cases, either you want to keep the liquid in the bag to be bigger, or if it is gel or silicone, it is very important to isolate it from migration.

8 The most unpleasant thing you could do is get into an egg, but you would feel this pain))) With saline solution or 5% glucose, it is very difficult to harm yourself.
