Heating pad for ball pumping?
Hey guys, not sure if there is any discussion on this topic but what heating pad works the best for keeping the jar warm. I have been pumping now for a little over two months in a homemade STJ. I am loving the results so far. Looking for a hating pad that works well and is cost effective.

I use a wheat microwave bag. Stick it in the microwave for a couple of minutes and away you go. About a fiver apiece in the UK.

I have a small ~12"x16" electric heating pad from Target or Walmart, plenty of heat, I keep it on medium or low, if you are pumping dry you can get a hot spot.
Wrapping a towel or blanket around the heater and tube keeps the heat in and more even, and they all have auto cutoff, so you will stay warmer after it turns off.

hey,
I have been using a rice bag. like your wheat bag.
Warm it up and then put a towel around the jar and the rice bag.
its keeps me warm for about an hour.
I just bought a heating pad. it has 5 settings and i keep it on the lowest and still use a towel to keep the heat in.
If you can find a heating pad i think thats the way to go. mind cost about 10 bucks.

Ditto for the electric heating pad.
You'll get the best results if you keep your sack warm and loose so this is the way to go.
Most Pharmacies or Walmarts will have them and they're pretty cheap.
Cheers

Look for the heating pads with analog control switches.
The digital ones here in America by Sunbeam and Walgreens malfunction after several months. The ones with mechanical switches will last for years.
