need advice

I recently ordered 10 % glucose one 250 ml bag and a 500ml bag.how should i start off ive done 5 % glucose with out any problems any advice?

Start small and add more after its expanded for a few hours. 250ml will grow more than you'll expect. My last infusion was 300ml of 10% and it ended up being bigger than one liter of regular saline.

Another question for you guys yesterday i did 1 liter of saline can i top of with 10%glucose i jave a 500 ml bag that i could use?

Yes, you can. But be careful. 500 ml of 10 % will cause a 2.000 ml swelling. The injection side may be irritated by this rather high sugar concentration. I tried this, it is more painful than saline. If you've already infused 1.000 ml saline the irritation may be tolerable.

I personally wouldn't top off with that. I start with glucose and top off with saline. That way if I underestimate the swell I'm not putting it in when I'm already bigger than normal. If you do decide to use the 10% as a top off I definitely wouldn't use any more than half of the bag.

Ok but is really more painful than saline?

I've found that glucose is actually less painful for me. No stinging going in at all, whereas saline stings just a little bit. That's part of the problem for me though. Since there is no pain at all going in its really easy to infuse too much without realizing it before the swell starts.

Ok i think im going to try 250 ml this weekend should not have any problems ive done up to 2 liters of 5 % without any problems

I did 2l of saline it was.. well saline is kind of annoying for me.. I feel it all the time.. as it is infusing.
When I do glucose.. I feel nothing...
My next will be 10% 500ml too waiting for right moment.
