Is D5W the adding 0.9 Saline safe?

I know the difference between D5NS and D5W and I've done 500ml D5W before, but never with any additional saline.

I'm thinking of doing 500ml D5W and a 500ml 9% to get a nice swell going, but didn't know if the D5 being in water made a difference or not.

Thanks in advance. Oh yeah... I can handle 2L 9%, but what do you think this would swell to?

Adding saline after a dextrose session is safe, and common practice. Also, I'm assuming you mean 0.9% saline?

Yep, 0.9% saline. I just didn't know if the 5% dex in water made a difference when you infused the saline afterwards. Well cool beans, gonna order me some stuff.
