Have done a few saline infusions over the past few months.
Purchased a bag of 500 ml 5% Dextrose Injection.
Do I need to mix it with saline or inject is as is?

Re: Dextrose Question
Inject as is. It's sterile water and 5% Dextrose. I use it all the time. Usually 3 liters to 4 at a time.

Re: Dextrose Question
Do you know what your Pancreas is? Don't do this. If you over stress it too many times or too much you can destroy it's ability to make insuline and you could become a Diabetic.
Not to mention the damage the sugars do to things like your Opic nerves. How about the brain?
You're brain survives on O2 and glucose only. If you do this and feel high with it you have ompletely over loaded your brain. Just don't do this.

Re: Dextrose Question
Pumpinit a1000cc of Dextrose 5% will contain about 50g of Dextrose. That is about one can of soda pop worth of sugar, that won't wreck your pancreas.

What you say is true, but only if this is done day after day for a long time.
You're talking about Type 2 diabetes (dire-betes ).
The typical US diet poses a much greater risk than occasional dextrose inflations.
Note - U will have bags of this fed to you in hospital, via drip lines, following serious ops or trauma injuries. That's why it's manufactured in bags. And naturally, hospitals are going to infuse stuff that will harm you. |:-\
US diet: sugar overload is in epidemic proportions: sugar, corn sugar, glucose etc is in every processed food/drink product on the market.
It's a fair bet that what you've been consuming for most of your life already has you well on your way to Type 2 Dire-betes.
Just a few thoughts.
