tk, thats a really great pump, i use it for almost all my water pumping, the brass ones dont stand up well to it. funny note, i went to pep boys to buy my first one and when i got home i noticed on the package that mighty vacs are made right here in san antonio! good choice man! jerry

TK, that is an impressive homemade tube. What do you have on the open end? Is that some kind of tape? I need something to keep the tube from 'biting' in on one of my home tubes. Dave

thanks, 60, I use a strip of latex from a swim cap, it prevents dig in and keeps a good seal. I cut it about an 1 1/2" wide, 3/4" folds inside and 3/4" outside, if its too narrow it will slip off, the ruber band holds it from unraveling. With a store bought tube you shouldn't need this. jerry, scoripo needs help finding some pumpbuds out your way.

Thanks for the info TK. The pic below shows one of the homemade jobs I use and I find the rim "bites" after awhile so your idea of the swimcap will be helpful.
