Got a hand pump with gauge on it.
1. The gauge is a sealed unit, but the paper backing with the Hg scale on it, has come away at the top, and is preventing free movement of the indicator needle. Is there a way to open the sealed unit to repair it?
2. I find that sometimes, after I squeeze the handle, something stops the spring from making the handle open again. It's as if something is blocking the chamber. This is an intermittent problem. Sometimes the handle just retracts perfectly.
Does anyone have any tips as to what to do? - I may just get a new pump.

Re: Problems with Hand Pump
Those gauges are not worth the trouble. Just replace it. Usually about $9-11. You might pry off the clear front; ours lift off easy. Post a photo--maybe helpful.
