When I started I used fairly cheap tubes with a narrow neck. Today, I use Thick Wall and M4 tubes. They both have large bases and I don't have the problems I once had. When using the cheaper tube it felt like the tube was actually cutting me. After pumping I would have a really angry red ring. It would sometimes last for over a day.
