al, some guys started out pumping with no foreskin and have grown new skin from pumping.  i started out when i was cut tight and never had a problem.  i have restored my foreskin almost to total coverage when flacid, and still have had no trouble from pumping.  just keep in mind go slow and use low pressure for the safe and best results.  this is my opinion, i don't speak for all....everyone has different results along the way.  hope this helps, and that you become a fulfledged pumper.
