ah, yes, for sure the smoking hinder erections! I smoke and I know that stopping is a bitch!!!!!!!!
Vits and herbals?? I haven't had much luck with vits n herbals myself but I didn't take them like I should. I did add such herbals etc to sildenafil/ generic Viagra and that helped I believe.
I suggest you look on line, look at the ingredients of formula's for ED and get those ingrients from a health store etc.
Good luck

You've got my interest spurred somewhat. I'm gonna look for what I need to try to counter-act the smoking as I know it has something to do with small artery, vien constriction etc.
Also, I'm curious to what vits mins herbals to take over a long period to enhance erections, volume, etc.
Will post here or on the board with any concrete information.

I'm hoping others would post their two cents worth as their experience's with pumps here, and the smoking issue as well as past drinking.
I'm 52 years old, smoke, drink..but not in the way I did in the past and their probs with ED etc.

webslave ... I am close to your age and I used Zyban to help quit smoking. I had no problems with the drug and I am once again smoke free.
As one gets older drinking does not help ... I think one just has to decide if they want to have sex or drink. I find it hard to believe now that I used to drink half the night and still be able to get it up. Oh well ...

Yes, I've tried the drug Zyban/Wellbutrin...and it did indeed help.
My smoking is a matter of choice right now. I will once again decide to stop. A problem, my wife smokes, and that will be a hinderance.
Thanks for your input.

Spike, try kegels. I was/am experiencing the same thing as you and I noticed an INCREDIBLE difference in just one day of intense squeezing. I do fast ones and long hard ones throughout the day and no shit if I wasn't rock fucking hard last night and today w/no let down. Hope this helps. P.S. I'm a smoker as well but knne-deep in quitting.

@xtatic

I've have taken various herbals and vits etc in the past and even now continue to take L-Arginine, L-Caritine, Taurine, fish oil, a multi-vitamin aimed at men "mega doses of B vits, zinc etc".
Also, Tribulis, Maca, Epimedium "horny goats weed", ....
Do a google for men's virility stuff...you'll see the different ingredients.

Yes,,no doubt the alcoholism did in deed cause long term nerve damage.
Along with smoking all my life. The past drugs use,,, depressants like Paxil for along time for panic disorder/anxiety.
Alot of different factors I believe.
At present I'm doing a little experiment that I take small dosages of sildenafil daily along with arginine, fish oil, multi vits, etc. Also beginning to pump,,not consistently.
Libido is an issue lately, more so than usual.

I had been a smoker for 60 years until I had an asthmatic attack in Singapore last year. Tell you it scared the bloody shit out of me, honestly thought I was for the big jump.

Was rushed to the nearest hospital where they had me on continuous antibiotic drip plus oxygen for almost 5 days. Have not had a smoke since - used to be on 30 a day plus 6 or 8 pipes.

As for treatment now I have regular 2 weekly acupuncture sessions and take a massive concoction of Chinese herbs daily specially made up by a professor of Chinese medicine from one of our large Universities here.

Have always kept up a regular tablespoon a day of green barley powder which seems to give me energy for the day.

Good luck with your search.

Hey guys,
Webslave, give chantix a try. It's a new med that blocks the nicotine receptors in yer brain. I began it a few months ago. I quit a week after, but then started again due to stress. I had read somewhere that even if people started again they would do best to continue taking the meds and try again in two months or so. I ended up seeing my Dr. a month into taking it (whcih was a month ago) and told him that i was still taking it but had started smoking again. He explained to me that he's prescribed it a lot recently and that I was the only person who was still taking it and smoking. He told me that I was doing it purely out of habit as my body was now unable to do anything with the nicotine, and thus I had "no excuse" to continue. Any ways I haven't smoked in 10 days. I only feel like it occasionaly, and it seems like a distant memory. However, I'm taking it a day at a time, as in the past I'd made big commitments to never smoke again and started a day later. Anyways, thanks for bearing with my long and rambling post.
In short: give chantix a try, and even if you pick up again, stay on it and try a week or two later and so forth.
Good luck
