Not able to...

Post by cldtmr »

Ok here is the issue.. My partner and my doctor are at war over me and I am in the middle.

I have been having issues with ejaculation, it takes me forever and requires lots of stimulation. I have told the doctor this and She recommended that I start taking cialias for daily use, and use a penis pump as stimulation therapy, not preparation for intercourse.

My partner says I am too young (30) to get a penis pump, and he thinks that cialis is not necessary, but can't think of any solutions other then seeing a male urologist. This will cost me another $30 and then I may get the same results.

I seen my doctor today and let her know the situation, and she says once I get the pump, and keep taking the medication that I should be able to ejaculate sooner.

So, is my doctor right or is my partner right by seeing another urologist?

Another question is my insurance won't pay for the "Medical Grade" vacuum pump, and I am looking for a decent one that will work for therapy, and not cost me $550.

Thanks In Advance.

See the urologist to make sure that there's nothing mechanically wrong (like problems with nerve function, blood flow, etc.). I'm sure that there are plenty of guys who are your age (and some younger) who pump, some probably for fun and others for medical reasons. In any case, you're never too young to safeguard your health. Yes, if you see the urologist you may end up with the same answer but you'll probably feel more at ease knowing instead of guessing and arguing.

If you decide to buy a pump, a medical grade one may be covered by your insurance, if prescribed by a doctor. A urologist would probably know the cheapest places to get one, if you have a co-pay. If insurance won't cover it, be sure and get a good one, not one from the local porn store. One that breaks or doesn't work is no bargain. Personally, I like the tubes from Pumptoys.com because they have a really comfortable seal so that the tube doesn't dig into your crotch. There are other good suppliers online, as well. For advice about which tubes and pumps to get, your best best is to ask in the General Pumping Discussion area. There are lots of men here who are always willing to help new guys.

most people would want to take longer be for ejaculating
see another Dr.
if you are taking old fashioned SSRI's such as prozac or paxil
you might not be able to ejaculate at all!
I doctor shop till i find one that i can work with
some doctors are snobs that look down at us "uneducated" patients, but
some of us are internet savvy and our gut instincts serve us well.
gam in chicago for no strings attached fun
