prostate surgery,any ideas.

Post by signman »

In April I underwent prostate surgery, half of the nerve bundle was saved. I have started using a pump and rings,at least it is half hard.My wife is adventurous,we enjoy vibrator sex,so this is just a slight inconvience, but it would be better with a full erection. I have tried Viagra and no result. The doc said it could take up to 18 months or more to recover full erection. My wife has a tens unit her chirorpractic recommended, would this help out? Sounds like it would be,at least another toy in the toy chest.Suggestions would be appreciated.

I had prostate cancer surgery in Dec 08 and am still waiting for my erections to return; my doc said it could take up to a year, but he also said the incontinence would take 3 months to heal/resolve itself, and I'm still dealing with that too. I'm open to any ideas too. Time may be the best healer, and the toys help make intimacy fun in the meantime.

Sorry for the late reply. Just joined. Anyway, I have a Tens unit that my doctor prescribed. I dont have problems getting hard, but I use the unit for fun. I put one pad on both sides, just under my scrotum. Wow, talk about an instant erection. Try putting the pads in different places and changing the settings on the machine. My wife likes it best when I put the pads down below my balls so they're out of the way, and turn the machine to "pulsate". It drives us both wild.

Had my cancerous prostate removed with the Da Vinci robot 3 years ago. Unable to get an erection even with Viagra, Cialis, Levitra etc. Get big with pumping. Do not emit semen but still enjoy pleasure of the feeling of cumming. Will be getting the AdVance Male sling next month to correct (I hope) the leaking. Still get PSA test and keep on top of everything connected with my penis. Everyone please get your PSA test.

I had prostate removal about a year ago, via DaVinci robot. I am 70 years old, with lots of pumping experience before the surgery. Both nerve pathways were spared, and my testosterone level is about where it should be. With a pump I can get pretty fat, but the erection does not hold like before the surgery. My urologist would be happy to prescribe injectables, but since my wife of 74 years is no longer sexually interested or active, it seems too weird to bring out the needles just to jerk off to internet porn and pump... One of these days I will have to give it a try.

Prostate surgery 5 years ago. Erections do return but it will never be like before so you need some help. Cialis works good but last time I did it I got a bad backache. I do pump to keep the blood flow since there is no morning wood. Oh and most people can take 1 year. Longer than that is possible. It is all up to your body.

Hello - to be honest the very real fear of my husband having prostate cancer has brought us much closer together. We come from a generation where you dont talk openly about these things, hence I initialy came to this site. But since Ive been here, and persuaded my husband to see our doctor its forced us to talk more openly and I think made us closer.

7 years ago. You'll never gain back what you had but pills or injections work. Its treatable.

Firstly, chiropractic is certifiable woo, up there with homeopathy, reiki, crystal healing etc.
Secondly a tens machine with prolonged use can actually damage nerve tissue.
Thirdly see a good urologist
