Re: Ikea Jar
Went to ikea the other day here in Germany. Could only find a larger version of it for ~20€. Though I think it‘s way too big to be of use.
Anybody else in Germany found the smaller 18cm version?

Re: Ikea Jar
And of course, there’s just the larger one in Canada. Looks to me like the smaller one is too small and the large one too big, however. The issue I would have is to do with safety. This is a vase from a company that.. etc..
My largest jar is a Kilner preserving one, 4 inch opening, 10 inches deep. My thinking is that it is fairly hardy by design. Made to vacuum seal, take heat. But will be interested in your posts. Maybe someone should write Sweden suggesting a 9” version would be appreciated.
Ja, und a three and three quarter opening, tak!

Here in Holland, loads of the smaller version.........also the large version but indeed way to big. Can ship them EU for about 32 euro in total.

Re: Ikea Jar
So got the small version! Easy fill, just had to try, comfortable entry! and yes the big one is too big.

Re: Ikea Jar
Way too small, but I like the shape of the jar. The tapering leading up to the mouth of the jar is important, in my opinion. I’ve used a number of jars and sometimes it’s difficult to understand why the results aren’t what I thought they might be. A good size opening, good length of jar, etc. But then there’s no forcing of the package downwards. Or everything pops out unexpectedly. To me, that tapered part looks ideal. Really, a jar between that one and the large one might work really well.

Re: Ikea Jar
Right, my lower abdomen are sucked in too easy, that makes is too small for me as well. Call IKEA to ask tem to make a model in between the two jars.....
Pumping on with my other IKEA jar....
