Re: EPSOM SALT & WARM WATER...it works for me !!
Hey regarding this, be aware that horticultural magnesium phosphate (the ingredient of epsom salts) is not the same purity as the one selled for humans, and may contain other elements so I recommend you buy it in some natural health store, pharmacy, etc.georgekenedy wrote:any pics for us? :skier wrote:Epsom salts - magnesium sulphate is readily available from any horticultural supplier - place that sells plants.
No need to order on-line at a ridiculous price.
Currently sitting here at my desk testing this product.
Have fun

Re: EPSOM SALT & WARM WATER..New VID 6/28/2014
I've been asked by a couple of different people about my home made jars that I pump with and where I got them. In the first picture I have a jar that is really a flower vase I got at "Michael's". Now Michael's is an arts & craft store located near and around Philadelphia. I had to drill a hole in the glass for the hose fitting (extreme caution when drilling glass). The seal on the vase is a silicone Pump Toys seal.
The second jar is a big STJ, sun tea jar if you need to know. I got this one at Walmart and can be hard to find as it maybe a seasonal item. I made the seal from a glue type product sold at Home Depot. Being an actual Sun Tea Jar it had a hole in the glass for the faucet for the tea. All my hose fitting are also from Pump Toys.
Happy pumping...hope this helps those who want to make there own jars.

Here is another short vid from my "I GOT BALLS" session. You my want to call it "GETTING STRAPPED IN"
I haven't had the time to do a good long pump in a long time. My daily hour & 15 minutes in my vase jar has been all I have time for...... I want to do a marathon again !!
Keep pumpin

Re: EPSOM SALT & WARM WATER..New VID 9/02/2014
I've found I get better results using epsom salts, but have encountered something I'm curious to know if anyone is experiencing. The male coupling on my tubes go bad, in that if I disconnect the pump from the tube, the male coupling does not seal. Instead of sealing as it ought to when the female coupling is removed, vacuum releases. I always wash my tubes after use, but still, a brownish orange coloration builds in the couplings. I use a wooden match stick in the male coupling when washing to allow water to flow through and rinse any residue in the coupling, and I always see little black flecks rinse out. Regardless, the male coupling's ability to seal diminishes. This never happens with the male couplings that have not been used when pumping with epsom salts. Again, is anyone else encountering this situation? If so, have you found a way to stop it? These blasted couplings are damn pricey, so for now, I've stopped using epsom salts.
Thanks for any feedback anyone has on this.

Your O ring maybe shot. Take a look at that and go to ACE Hardware and pick up a new one. Good Luck

Salt is corrosive. The brown stuff will be rust from the spring in the coupling.
