thanks. again, there don't seem to be any valves on these jars. how are you getting the vacuum pressure up?

I'm using a brass hand pump and hose with no connector on the end of the hose. I simply hold the jar tight to my body, insert the hose into the jar and vacuum the air out. And thanks BodybuilderBallpumper for the great comment.

very impressive indeed

just 2 questions if i may -- , how do you get out , which always takes the shine off going big for me unless i use the MT & the way your vacc-ing out , the tube slips inside the jar opening? doesn't the tube get flattened & unable to suck
or the tubing stops the rim from sealing ?
sorry-- they are just problems i get on a daily basis

rickxs, use a thin soft hose like ones for aquarium air pumps. it is soft enough to compress against skin for a seal but stiff enough to not cut off vac suction. do a search here for "jar pumping"...i wrote a post on how to use such a hose so no drilling needed.
