Catheters - where to buy?

Post by Umphrey »

I've been into a urethral play for a couple of years now. I've used various things over the years. I have been using a set of sounds I got off of ebay. I have been gently stretching my urethra, but sometimes I don't really like how hard the metal feels. I've been on the lookout for something softer or flexible. Last week I eyed a roll of 5/16" vinyl tubing from the hardware store.
After I was home cut several pieces about 20" long and I realized the ends would be too rough. I experimented with ways to remedy that, I eventually tried a heatgun. With some trial and error I made the ends acceptably smooth, after I was done I sterilized the tubing with alcohol and let it dry. Later that night I lubed it up and decided to give it a try. I was surprised when it went in quite easily. I tried going deeper then I normally do with the sounds and it felt exquisite. I came within seconds when I realized I could stimulate my prostate with the tubing. When I came I expected it to gush out around the tubing just like I do when I'm sounding. But no, I actually came through the tube. I watched it rise up through the clear tubing with each spasm.

It was really hot and I've done it quite a bit since. I did try 3/8 tubing, but it was too big and I couldn't smooth the ends as easily. It's also sometimes difficult to perfectly get the ends smooth. They feel fine to my fingers, but on the way in there will be a rough spot left that irritates my urethra. That can totally kill the mood and leave me sore.

I did more searching for something more suitable. I found nelaton and foley catheters that looked perfect. I went online and found sites selling them, JRSmedical, athomemedical, and several others. I placed an order for a dozen or so catheters in different sizes. 22fr, 24fr, 26fr and 28fr. However, all of them ended up asking me to present them with a prescription for the catheters. My orders were canceled when I told them I didn't have a prescription.

My question, where can I get catheters online without a prescription?
Thanks in advance

Hi. I had emailed athomemedical.com and they directed me to their faq. I was told I should scan, or fax, or mail a copy of my prescription over. http://www.athomemedical.com/faqs.asp Q: What products require a prescription from a phycisian?
A: A perscription is only needed for all types of interrmittent catheters and foley catheters.
.

I was successful in ordering some catheters off of ebay, however the selection is quite limited and the prices suck. I got some 20fr clear vinyl intermittent/nelaton catheters. They were described as having fire polished eyelets, however I found them noticeable and left my urethra irritated. I didn't really notice the irritation until afterward when I urinated, it was a slight painful/burny sensation right where I remember the eyelets rubbing during insertion.

Nectcruiser, I'm curious when you last ordered from athomemedical. I might just give it a try and see if it goes through. Also, any recommendations for a comfortable catheter?

Apparently their policy about prescriptions has changed but it has been about 3 years since I ordered from them. I sorry for any info that was out of date.

Here are some red rubber urinary catheters that don't appear to need a prescription:

Plenty of catheter medical play advice here:

http://www.medicaltoys.com/lib-catheter.htm

but they have stopped selling them, as they could not compete on price with Amazon etc.
