I find that using an electric vibrator on the top or side of the tube works well
It also enhances the pleasure you get from pumping. Am using a CTC pump that has a sucking action every second. (actually 50 times per minute). I have heard there is a special attachment for ordinary electric pumps that does the same thing but can be regulated manually and you can vary the intensity of the pull.

Anyone know what they are called?

Try a tube that you fill after, say,half an hour, the base of your cock is tight,
